Summary of the Event Preparing Students for the World after High School

April 15, 2021

Comments about the event:

Herb Hunt events are always interesting and informative, and this one was no exception.  Financial literacy is an important topic, and the resources that were shared in this seminar are useful for an educator at any level – Dr. Wayde Killmeyer Executive Director Intermediate Unit 4

I plan on reaching out to our local credit union for financial literacy curriculum – Sheri Binda, Counselor Jeannette City School District

Thank you so much for the opportunity.  Financial literacy is a passion of mine and I really enjoyed listening to the speakers and hearing from the participants – Amy Davis, Career Ready State Project Co-Director Western PA Gifted Liaison Teaching and Learning

This was one of the better virtual workshops that I have attended in the last year. It was very well organized and the presenters were knowledgeable about not only their topics but also how and why it I s important for educators – Karen Eppley Bedford/ Everett Area School District Transition Coordinator

I thought this was a great start to the conversation of teaching financial literacy and having outside perspectives who are not in education on what students need to know abut financial literacy – Kelsey Poole Curriculum Specialists The Academy Schools

We are pleased to participate in an event that teaches teachers how to include personal finance in their classroom.  The CrossState Credit Union Foundation is here to help local schools and other organizations form partnerships with credit unions to help deliver this critical information to students as well as others in the community – Michael Wishnow Senior Vice PresidentMarketing and Communication
